How often should I attend a Sound Journey?
This is a common question that I get asked. Your sound journey attendance will depend on your personal goals and preferences. Some people may find that attending a sound bath once a month is enough to promote relaxation and reduce stress. Others may choose to attend more frequently, such as two or three times a month.
If you are dealing with a particular issue or challenge, such as chronic pain or anxiety, you may benefit from attending sound baths more frequently. Some people find that attending weekly or bi-weekly sessions can provide ongoing relief and support for their healing journey. Sound journey’s become part of people life, as people know and feel the difference in themselves
coming regularly.
What is a Crystal Bowl Sound Journey?
The dynamic frequencies of sound and energy adjusts to each person’s vibration, bringing about deep clearings, activations, healing and balancing. Within 20 mins of feeling more calm and When you enter a theta brainwave state during a sound healing session, your body and mind shift from “doing” into “being.” This state (around 4–8 Hz) is the same frequency range experienced in deep meditation, REM sleep, and the moments just before drifting off or waking up. It’s where
profound healing and integration happen.
Here’s what happens in the body—especially the parasympathetic (rest-and-digest) nervous system:
As brainwaves slow from busy beta into alpha and theta, the parasympathetic nervous system switches on. This calms the body at a cellular level, as the body’s signal that it is safe, which is essential for true healing.

• Releases physical tension
• Breath deepens and becomes rhythmic
• Cortisol (stress hormone) decreases
• Vagus nerve becomes more active

What If I have a busy mind & find it hard to switch off and relax?
Don’t worry if you come to my sessions and can’t switch off. Being still is a practice, we are not taught to slow down. As humans, we’re conditioned to constantly do, to keep going, and we’re surrounded by everyday distractions. Pausing can even be seen as laziness, and many of us carry guilt around simply being still.
But when you come to a sound session, the only thing that truly matters is being present, feeling connected to yourself. You showed up, and that’s the beginning. You’re honouring yourself and making time for your own wellbeing, and that is brilliant.
Even if your mind is busy, you’re still receiving the healing frequencies from the moment I begin playing the bowls. These vibrations flow deep into your 70 trillion cells and the waters within your body, supporting harmony so your mind, body, and spirit can return to a beautiful, coherent state.
You will notice shifts afterwards, sometimes immediately, sometimes over the next couple of days. Clarity arrives, you become less reactive, you sleep more deeply, and stuck energy gently releases as the sound transmutes what no longer serves you.
Maria used to be the person who could never sit still. Maria was proud of being an “active relaxer,” always moving, thinking, doing. Maria was diagnosed with ADHD later in life, I know Im wired a little differently, fearless, full of energy, constantly buzzing like an “ants-in-your-pants” kind of girl. She probably annoyed the hell out of friends and family who thought I was nuts! Until she found sound.
Sound allowed Maria to drop into a deep state of awareness, where she could simply be and be still. The crystal bowls quietened my mind in a way nothing else could. Maria couldn’t think about her to-do list over the harmonies around her, the sound anchored Maria into the present moment. Looking back, Maris nervous system was exhausted, juggling 3 young children their many activities and social life, constantly firing, which had impacted on her adrenals. Living on autopilot and holding that “sleep when you’re dead” mindset was not healthy. Maria now lives from a place of awareness, pausing before reacting or speaking, (tries her most of the time).
Maria now does less, and self-care is my number one priority. Maria regularly crave sound sessions for her to receive, she love the way they drop me into that peaceful, deeply restorative space. Loves feeling the frequencies flow through my body. The only thing she doesn’t love is that the sessions feel like they last only 15 minutes! Totally understands why so many clients become addicted to sound sessions, we need feel peace, peace is our birthright!!
